Record heat...

I'm sure nearly everyone has felt this heat....here in the San Fernando Valley our record heat for these last 18 days has exceeded 100 degrees everyday. Sunday it was 114....that's hot! And when people say...."oh, but it's a dry heat"...think just plain HOT....like standing in front of one of the open hearth furnaces at the steel mills 35 years ago.
We're managing to stay pretty cool keeping one room air conditioned at a time....living room during the day and the bedroom at night.
Ellie doesn't seem to mind...we jump in the pool at sundown almost every evening....she loves it...
Went to the Doctor's Friday....she's 26 inches long and weighs 18 lbs 10 ozs...naturally she didn't like the shots but gets over it quickly. We feel very blessed that she's healthy...a love the fact she smiles and laughs so much...life is good!
