Preparing for Daycare & Great Day with Bubby......
Tuesday was the first day that Jo An and I both had to work. Jo An's Mom, also known to Ellie as Bubby, has been gracious in her offer to cut back her work hours and watch Ellie on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Their first day together went just great!
Bonding with Bubby...I will have to get a current photo of the two of them together soon and post to the blog.
Yesterday was the first day of try-outs at the daycare Jo An and I chose. I spent the afternoon there with the goal of separating long enough to go the the bathroom which was a success. The staff is wonderful and have their hands full. I witnessed a boy toddler bopping a younger girl on the head with a plastic number 4....Three Stooges meets Sesame Street...a trio of them cried at the same time and Ellie just looked at me sort of puzzled as if to say "is that what I look like when I cry?"
Ellie taught another girl her own age to eat grass, that didn't go over too well. But all and all it was a good day and I look forward to Friday when we seek a longer separation.
