Hospital stay extended....

Well, after getting all excited about Ellie's possibility of going home from the hospital after the CT Scan results were read...a major letdown.
The specialist (Ear, Nose & Throat) said Ellie will have to stay another week and have tubes inserted in her ears for proper drainage.
JoAn and I sat in Ellie's hospital room feeling sad until we finally accepted reality and said to each other, "We've all done a week already so we know we can do it". Ellie woke up from her nap and we proceeded to find new toys from the playroom and raced around the nurses station like we were at a vacation resort.
